~ Our Energetic Body: A practical explanation ~

“We are not human beings having a spiritual experience, we are spiritual beings having a human experience”. Sound familiar? Good J As humans, we are so much more than just what we can physically ‘see’ and ‘feel’. Yes, we have a body that we can touch, but this physical body is only one part of our functioning body, our whole body.

I could give you the very “scientific” explanation of how our physical body is made up of molecules and ultimately, subatomic particles that have and carry with them, energy – but that’s not my vibe. We’re so much more than our physical body – we’re Spirit, and we’re Energy, too. We are all quite familiar with our physical bodies and their functions, but often less so with our energetic bodies.

Each of our bodies is made up of layers of vibrating energy, each of which has their own specific vibration and purpose. The energy from our physical bodies (and most three-dimensional objects) vibrates very slowly, which is why it appears to our physical eyes to be solid. Most of us are raised to focus only on the physical aspect of ourselves without recognising that it is actually created from and sustained by the energetic layers that are outside of our normal vision.

These energetic layers (also known as subtle bodies) create an interconnected field of energy around the physical body that is commonly known as the auric field (a topic for another day). Each energetic layer connects into the physical body via an energy point (or chakra), which directs the energy into the physical body via the meridian system. It is on this level that energy healing, vibrational crystal healing, and other holistic healing modalities, takes place.
The term subtle bodies describe the various layers of vibrating energy that make up a human being beyond the obvious physical layer. Although we cannot see them with our physical eyes, they can be seen through the third eye or with the aid of Kirlian photography.

As you move outwards from the physical body into the auric field, each subtle body vibrates at a slightly faster vibration than the one before it, meaning that your energetic body is vibrating higher and moving faster than your physical body, and your emotional body is vibrating higher and moving faster than your energetic body. Each of these three layers of energy, including our physical body, intermingles with the others to work as a complete system of vital energy flow which our physical bodies depend on to maintain optimum wellbeing.

These energy bodies should not be considered any less real than our physical body.  If all of our energy bodies are strong, charged, and healthy, you will have a full life in all areas of human experience.  Self-care and personal development exercises allow you to grow and strengthen each of these energetic layers, and, as they say, raise your vibration! 🙂
